Ni Hao!

Hi guys! I'm sorry for not posting frequently. My excuse? I am the biggest procrastinater in the WORLD. I only read one book in August, I suck I know. So today I'm going to do the Blogger Recognition Award, the Rules are the same as any other award. I was tagged by these lovely bloggers... Erika, Lucy and Theepika

Oh and if you happen to wonder why my title is in chinese it's because I'm currently in my chinese lesson/ class thing, let's get started.

My Story isn't very interesting, this is actually the second book blog I've made, the first one I co blog with my cousin (who also btw made her own blog Bookworms that Blog) When I started my book blog I didn't know there was this whole book blogging community, and being a clueless idiot I am I thought I was going to be the first person to make a book blog!!1!!1 But anyway, I figure out later that there was thousands of other book blogs and that makes it more fun! Why did I make this blog? Lets just say it was last period, it was maths, I was bored etc etc.

My Advice is have fun and don't ever feel pressured to post something that you don't want to. And yea!

I NOMINATE EVERYONE WHO READS THIS!

Bye bye July-ly

Argh this year is whizzing past
Books...

- read in july

I enjoyed all of my July reads especially To All The Boys I've Loved Before, it's sequel and Rebel Belle. Rebel Belle such a fun book and I had so much fun reading it, the main character was perfectly funny... read my full review. TATBILB had me laughing out loud several time, I immediately fell in love with Lara Jean's bubbly personality and her awkward moments was just... read my full review. The sequel was just as perfect... full review. I didn't quite connect with The Impossible Knife of Memory but overall it was a good read... read my full review. I'll meet you there is a really sweet romance novel mixed with a little PTSD, so it was a really emotional book guys. I haven't done a review on this book...yet.

- started in July

I started Finding Audrey in early July and haven't finish it because I guess I kind of got a bit sick of how Audrey was narrating, I'm not saying it's a bad book it's just that I need a break from it. I started An Abundance of Katherines on 30th July and yea.

The Impossible Knife of Memory

YA | Contemporary | Realistic Fiction

The Impossible Knife of Memory
by Laurie Halse Anderson

4 stars out 5

Haley is the most frustrating, annoying and the most closed minded character I ever read about. Is she bipolar? I don't know. Okay maybe her dad is the reason of her personality.
"There are two people in this world:
1) Zombies
2) Freaks
Only two.
Anyone who tells you different is lying.
Do not listen to zombies.
Run for you freaking life.
That person is a lying zombie."

Well thank you Haley for your words of wisdom. So umm, I don't really get HOW she classifies people into Zombies and Freaks, in the book she she just said that everyone was born a Freak, becomes a teen Freak and then things becomes complicated when teenager Freak goes to highschool, so I assume that they turn into Zombies in highschool?

Book Review: Rebel Belle

Well hello there! Sorry for being such an arse and not posting sooner. So last week I went through this phase of mine where I pick hundreds of books up, read them halfway and giveup on them and got all of their stories mixed up... but here I am ready to post two reviews of books I did manage to read.

Genre: YA | Romance  | Contemporary | Realistic Fiction

Author: Rachel Hawkins

Sources: Hardback Library

Publisher: Putnam Juvenile

Published on: April 08th 2014

Pages: 345

Summary: Harper Price, peerless Southern belle, was born ready for a Homecoming tiara. But after a strange run-in at the dance imbues her with incredible abilities, Harper's destiny takes a turn for the seriously weird. She becomes a Paladin, one of an ancient line of guardians with agility, super strength and lethal fighting instincts.
Just when life can't get any more disastrously crazy, Harper finds out who she's charged to protect: David Stark, school reporter, subject of a mysterious prophecy and possibly Harper's least favorite person. But things get complicated when Harper starts falling for him—and discovers that David's own fate could very well be to destroy Earth.
With snappy banter, cotillion dresses, non-stop action and a touch of magic, this new young adult series from bestseller Rachel Hawkins is going to make y'all beg for more.

6 stars out of 5

My Thoughts
What was I expecting? I don't know but what I wasn't expecting was someone to be killed by a pair of shoes which apparently cost a lot.

Blog Award : Book Fangirling

Well hello there... This award was created by Hannah over at her lovely blog, Book Fangirling.

I was nominated by Erika from another lovely blog called Book Stars and Writing. And Everything in Between. Her questions were...

1. What's your most memorable moment of blogging?
When I got my first GFC follower, I was so happy because I guess I wasn't expecting it? So when I notice I had 1 follower I was all over it.

2. What's the first book/series you ever fangirled over?
Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket is the besttt.

3. Have you ever been to a book event/book signing/met or saw authors?
Unfortunately not since I do not live in the US where most book signings occur (or the UK, or anywhere except NEW ZEALAND). An author came to our school before? Does that count, I don't know.

4. If you could choose three book characters to come to life, who would they be, and from which book/series?
Kitty from To All The Boys I loved before - SHE IS ADORABLE. Margo Roth Spiegelman from Paper Towns - I want to be friends with the daring Margo Roth Spigelman and take part in her pranks. Levi from Fangirl - he's just so sweet.

5. How often do you have a book with you when you're out?
Quite often ALL THE TIME, supermarkets, the pool, school... if you see me I will have a book, in my arms, in my bag, anywhere! Even though I'm probably not going to read it (who can read a book properly in supermarkets?) I just carry it around with me, I guess it's because I want people to think "Oh, she IS a book person".
